Mouse In The House: Character Expressions + Poses
As Daron the husband was my main character I developed him further in the form of turnarounds, facial expressions and character poses. This really helped me in terms of performance as I was able to work out how he moves and how he was going to show his emotions and fears towards the mouse.
I enjoyed drawing these as it gave life into my character and created a comical aspect, as his reactions are unexpected for someone of his size and macho appearance.
Despite not being very impressive, making small maquettes of my character in wire, paper and clay helped significantly with this. Transforming my flat drawings of him into the 3d realm. I was able to draw from these maquettes and also experiment making my poses more dramatic.
