Drawing for animation: lines of action
In our first drawing for animation class, we looked at 'lines of action' in figures whether it be humans or made up characters. A line of action shows the direction of movement and act that is being played out, this runs down the centre through which the force is being applied in. If the line of action is curvy, it makes for a more dynamic and exciting pose.
This is something which I will think about and apply when creating key poses for a storyboard. This exercise was really easy to do as we drew our fellow students, so I can see myself repeating it, until I feel more comfortable.
